How long does it take to get over someone you've been with for....?

For 7years we have dated with the intentions of getting engaged this year. He really messed up this time and I'm just plain tired. We have'nt talked since he invited me out to a gathering with his family, I walked out and took a cab. I was so irate and I didn't want to do anything to ruin the night for them. That incident took place 5days ago. He hasn't called me and I haven't called him. I just need to get over this.....someone give me a remedy for heartache! Calling him or contacting him is not an option. Thanks Yahoo Family!!!!!!!!
