Is it normal to have a regular period for 2 years and then you just...stop having them?
im a NP and i have tons of experience with an ob gyn / infertility problem have many patients like you. first i recommend for you to take a pregnancy test regardless if its been a while or not its just procedure every doctor has to have done ___malpractice---secondly call your ob gyn it seems to me you may have some fibroids in your endometrium-uterus, tubes area. fibroids are normal in women but it depends on the size and the pressure they have on the uterus, bladder, tube and so forth that allow patients to bleed non stop or prevent their menses-periods. if your fibroids are too big medication can help if they are extremely big than surgery is requested. but you need to consult your ob gyn and have him run some lab test and an l ultrasound. but you need to strain on how important and serious this problem is to the physician representative. missing menses can also be caused by tumors in the pituitary glands that are blocking the glands for performing its duty of setting your menses and that is cured though surgery and that can be seen through ct scan. but before jumping to conclusions seek your dr.s advice. good luck.
