Do liberals seriously still think Reagan was bad even though he was amazing on the economy and gave jobs cl?
amnestiswrong - Had all his facts right you could take a lesson from him. Listen I am an independent. I have been all my life. I tend to side more with libertarians as their platform is closer to my thinking. Reagan didn't end the cold war. Pope John Paul had more to do with ending it than Reagan. Where you people get that from I don't know. President Reagan had charisma he was a likable guy and his age made him look more like a father figure. A side from the facts given you on his economics and how bad they were you might look up presidents and see what the unemployment was under each. You may get another shocker. Anyone who thinks trickle down economics is so doable should go to Mexico because that is what they have. It's a proven failure. The middle cl has shrunk under every republican president from Reagan to now. Don't believe me look it up. Yes those of comfortable means grew more profitable while those in the middle fell. What really made Reagan a bad leader is exampled by your question "Do liberals". Before Reagan there were liberals and conservatives on both sides of the isle. I remember this growing up. Just because a person called him/her self a republican/democrat didn't mean they were a conservative or a liberal. They could be either or a moderate. Before Reagan you still had liberal republicans. Reagan was quite successful at redefining a liberal. He also divided the isle making liberal a tax and spend ociation. Do you know what the meaning of the word liberal was. It is a person who is open to new ideas and willfully embraces change. L B J and Ronald Reagan did more to divide this country than any other president in my life time. They are both responsible for the division that you see on this board and around the country. If you want a Republican to look up to look at Eisenhower. If you want a Democrat look at JFK and Clinton. The middle cl grew under all these men. Spending was down under all of them. Infrastructure grew. What they did was for the over all good of all Americans. It's a shame people don't give them the credits they deserve.
